三毛猫

オスだったら、ラッキーです！

一般的に白・茶色・黒の毛でショートヘアの日本猫のことを三毛猫と呼んでいます。遺伝子の染色体の組み合わせから三毛猫になるので普通ならメスが生まれるのですが、まれにオスが生まれたりすると、昔からラッキーキャットとして重宝がられていました。江戸時代では、福を招く三毛猫を船に乗せれば遭難しないとの言い伝えがあり、特にオスはその希少性もあって、高値で取引されていたそうです。
